In order to receive credit in Brazil for school work completed in the United States, diplomas and transcripts of grades must be validated by the Brazilian Consulate with jurisdiction over the State in which the documents were issued.

Procedures for Validation
Diplomas:
Please
ask school or college principal or registrar to draw up the following
document on the school's letterhead stationery:
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

Transcript of Grades:
In order to be validated by the Consulate General, the
transcript must have the printed name and signature of the principal or
registrar and the school's dry seal.
Cost
US $5.00 (five dollars) per document. Three or more documents related to the same person: a flat fee of US $15.00 (fifteen dollars) in US Postal Money Order only,
payable to Consulate General of Brazil.
By Mail
Enclose a
self-addressed and stamped envelope for the return of the documents.
The Consulate will receive correspondence sent via US Postal Service, as well as all courier services.
However, the Consulate will only return documents via US POSTAL SERVICE such as: First Class, Certified, Priority or Express Mail. Documents
will not be returned via any courier services such as: DHL, FEDEX, UPS, AIRBORNE and others. Do not send cash, either for fee or postage. The Consulate cannot be held responsible for lost or delayed mail.
