Brazilian Culture: Enriched by the Diversity of its People

ZEST FOR LIFE
My poster is about the famous Brazilian carnival celebration in Rio de Janeiro. People from allover the world come to Brazil to attend this fantastic parade. When the vibrant music and the samba dancing begin, the crowd goes wild with joy! Every year each samba school chooses a theme, and then composes the original music and creates costumes to go with that theme.
The costumes are unbelievably ornate, with lots of embroidery, feathers, sequins and more, and the floats have plenty of pretty decorations. Although the costumes can have a variety of colors, the main colors will be those representing that school. The oldest organized school of samba from Rio de Janeiro is called "Mangueira", and its main colors are pink and green.
Brazil, being a very large nation, is very rich in diversity, but a common characteristic that Brazilians share is their zest for life. Brazilians know how to enjoy themselves not only through music, dance, and sports such as soccer, but also through this joyful carnival celebration!
