The ceremony took place on May 10 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. The event was attended by Mr. Paulo Amado, Deputy Consul, representing the Consulate General of Brazil in Miami, Mrs. Nancy Weintraub, Diversity and Cultural Outreach Department, representing the Broward County Public Schools, members of Brazilian cultural institutions in South Florida, press, family and friends of the contests participants and the general public.
